After a “good first”, because the 2023 edition attracted 28 thousand visitors, Comicon, a cult festival dedicated to pop culture based in Naples, is about to open the doors of its second edition in Bergamo, from 21 to 23 June at the fair .

An even richer “encore”, again in collaboration with Promoberg: 200 guests, 170 events, 7 exhibitions and with a central nucleus in the pavilions of via Lunga and an Off program of events and exhibitions spread throughout the city, in Bergamo and the province, but also in Milan and the Brescia area.

Three days of comics, games and video games, anime and manga, cosplay, cinema and TV series, concerts, activities for children. And the opening hours extend until 11pm on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd, with shows and performances such as, for example, the concert of Giorgio Vanni (June 21st).

The festival was presented today, Thursday 20 June, in the setting of the “Caffi” Natural Sciences Museum in the Upper Town, which will host the “Lucy. Dream of an evolution” by Tanino Liberatore. During the presentation the following spoke: the director of the Caffi museum, Marco Valle; the president of Promoberg, Luciano Patelli; the CEO of Comicon, Carlo Cigliano; the artistic director of Comicon, Matteo Stefanelli.

«For Comicon, Bergamo is a bit of a design laboratory – said Stefanelli – on various fronts, one of which is activities with social impact: last year here we included sign language within some live activities . Furthermore, Comicon believes a lot in Bergamo, to the point of having planned future development, for which we will work on an economic impact analysis. Already this year, the events spread throughout the area have more than doubled compared to last year; a large investment was also made, inviting international guests from different sectors.”

As for the music, we have already talked about Vanni’s concert. On Saturday, however, the evening program focuses on the famous Teen Forever Fiesta, with the band “Stelle di Hokuto”, Dj Shiru and the Kj Girls taking up and revisiting the successes of the nineties and 2000s. There will be no shortage of cover bands with the Gremlins offering songs from film and TV soundtracks, the Cda with music from cartoons, the Artemuse specializing in Disney and the Cartoon Maniac Show with a cartoon-themed musical.

Not just covers, obviously: holding the rock flag high with their original pieces are the Stunt Pilots. K-Pop could not be missing with No Name playing great hits but also offering their original pieces. K-Pop and cosplay contest will occupy the stage on Saturday and Sunday afternoon respectively.
