The book “History of Genoa volume 2”, edited by Giancarlo Rizzoglio, was presented at the Porto Antico. The President of the Coverciano Football Museum and of the Lega Pro Serie C, Matteo Marani, also spoke.
“Yes, I would say that in fact a broader journey than the rossoblù one – said Marani – in the sense that Genoa is the foundation of Italian football so obviously by delving deeper, by retracing the studying of the memorable pages of Genoa one crosses the entire history of Italian football Beyond the first titles, it saw the first championships and also some fundamental turning points from a regulatory point of view, of mergers and unifications of our championship among the federal championships etc. It is clear that this is the history of Italian football. On Rizzoglio’s book, Marani said: “I believe that the work that Rizzoglio is doing is important, the first volume has already come out and I have started reading it. Now the second is coming.
