Civitavecchia, six million euros from the Lazio Region for public residential construction

ROME – The Lazio Regional Council has planned financing in favor of the Ater District of Civitavecchia for the purchase of a property, located in the town’s territory, to be allocated to public residential construction.

This intervention is aimed at implementing the Program Agreement to launch innovative urban regeneration, recovery and redevelopment programs of public and social housing stock signed last 18 June between the President of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini.

«Thanks to the constant work of the Department and the Urban Planning Directorate of the Lazio Region, we managed, after two days from the signing of the Agreement, to define the first intervention envisaged in its implementation, through the programming of the financing of approximately 5 million and 800 thousand euros for the acquisition by Ater of the Civitavecchia district of an entire property consisting of 40 apartments to be used for public residential construction”, declared the councilor for urban planning, housing policies, social housing and to the Politics of the Sea, Pasquale Ciacciarelli.

«This intervention is in line with Annex 4 of the Agreement itself, the purpose of which is to allow the purchase and construction of properties to be used for public and social residential housing, with the aim of increasing the supply of real estate to be reserved for the needs of citizens and address the housing emergency of the weakest social groups of the population”, he adds Ciacciarelli.

«The will of our Department and of the entire Regional Government of Lazio is therefore confirmed to rapidly implement the various lines of intervention of the Program Agreement, in order to satisfy the housing needs through an important redevelopment action of our building stock . I thank President Rocca and the entire council for sharing this important measure”, concludes the councilor Ciacciarelli.
