Reggio Emilia, destroys the hotel room and then attacks the police: arrested Gazzetta di Reggio

Reggio Emilia He literally freaked out for no apparent reason, devastating the reception computer of the Alba hotel in via Fratelli Cervi and breaking the hotel window, as well as damaging the room he had rented. Upon the arrival of the police, contacted directly by the employees of the facility who were agitated by what was happening, they did not calm his anger, lashing out at the soldiers who intervened to bring the situation back to calm.

The protagonist of this story is un 29 year old from Reggio Emilia, who was arrested for injuries and resisting a public official: he hit the police and was barely immobilized. It was 10.30 on Monday morning when the subject in question, who was alone, unleashed his anger before walking away on foot. The arrival of the carabinieri mobile radio section allowed him to be traced not far away; instead of peacefully explaining the situation and the reasons that had led him to devastate the hotel, the 29-year-old went straight to harsh measures: the man first offended the police, then, in a sort of escalation, he threatened them and hit with punches. Among the carabinieri attacked (with a hospital prognosis of 1 to 10 days), the one who fared the worst was a soldier hit by a punch on the nose.

Reinforcements then arrived, but the man did not give up, on the contrary: he pushed a policeman against the car, twisting his finger and causing him pain. Not even the arrival of his mother could calm the young man down, which actually escalated further, completely shattering the rear window of the car. To stem it, the police were forced to use the stinging spray to put handcuffs on him and take him to the barracks on charges of resistance, violence, threats and injuries to a public official. Once in the barracks, the young man began to complain of a strong burning sensation in his face due to the spray: he was then taken to hospital, where he was discharged with a prognosis of 3 days. Still shocked by what happened, the employees of the Alba hotel preferred not to make any statements, limiting themselves to expressing their solidarity with the military. Yesterday morning, the young man appeared in court for the validation hearing, assisted by lawyer Helmut Bartolini. Judge Michela Caputo released him with the obligation to sign. Prosecutor Maria Rita Pantani had asked for prison, while her lawyer asked for release. © ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
