“The Crea Report provides some results which, in fact, deny the omens of doom feared with the approval of Differentiated Autonomy”. The president of Veneto, Luca Zaia, underlines this in a note, commenting on the Crea Sanità 2024 Report.

“It tells us for example – notes Zaia – that the Southern Regions, having done this very positively, have improved by 75.9% on average in the last 5 years, compared to 44.9% in the North-East, 40.9% in the North-West and 37.4% of the Centre. Of great interest is the monitoring carried out on Differentiated Autonomy, investigating and comparing the 2017-2022 dynamics and summarizing in a Weighted Synthetic Index (Isp) the measurement of the relationship between the areas of worsening and improvement in the overall period”.

According to Zaia “a nice surprise emerges, namely that the Regions in the Recovery Plan, those most in difficulty, have an ISP of 0.40, while the Regions that have requested autonomy stop at 0.36 compared to 0 ,40 of the others. Crea is right, and I have no reason to doubt it, it means that Autonomy in healthcare, when it is defined in due time, will bring benefits for everyone – he concludes – which, for those like me has always supported it and is, even more so today, a certainty”.
