Cars, 40 “Smart” crews in Agrigento

The 40 crews who will stop in Agrigento on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July for the international gathering of the famous automotive community come from Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Germany and Italy. “We welcomed with great pleasure and enthusiasm the initiative proposed to us by Ivano Tardibono, president of the Sicilian club “Sicilia Smart Club” – said the Local Police Councilor Carmelo Cantone. “Agrigento – explained the Councilor – was chosen as the final stage among the 5 Sicilian cities that will host this event, which is held in a different European country every year. In 2024, Italy is represented by Sicily and our city, Capital of Culture 2025, could only be present. Events like these, of international scope, are an opportunity for publicity and promotion for Agrigento which is preparing to host many high-level events”. The Councilor concluded.
The crews arriving in Piazza Marconi around 6pm on Saturday 13 July will be welcomed and greeted by the Mayor Francesco Miccichè and the Local Police Councilor Carmelo Cantone, and will then receive the blessing from the Rector of the Sanctuary of San Calogero Don Gerlando Montanaflash. On the afternoon of Sunday 14 July, after a few laps on the Racalmuto circuit, the Smart cars will be exhibited in the area surrounding the San Leone Luna Park.
