VARESE – The agreement was signed this morning, Thursday 20 June, which puts in black and white a series of coordinated actions between the prefecture, the police and commercial activities to defend against robberies. The protocol, which has a national matrix, was also signed by the trade associations gathered by the prefect Salvatore Pasquariello.
They were present at the signing Rudi Colliniprovincial president of Confcommercio and Bernardo Biachessiterritorial president of Confesercenti, together with representatives of the provincial law enforcement agencies who have renewed and signed the “Video anti-robbery alarm” document.
Prevention and safety
Over the years, the instruments will also be implemented, the network of participating traders will have to be expanded and monitoring and surveillance will be carried out. The police forces will have a contact person available to merchants who must take care to inform merchants of system anomalies and failures. The same goes for the users of the service.
Rudi Collini expressed his satisfaction: «A protocol that is in continuity with what is already foreseen at a national level and strengthens collaboration with institutions and law enforcement agencies with a view to making commercial activities, but also the cities in which we work and live, increasingly safer. It is a tool that will facilitate the birth of other collaborations with a view to building an increasingly stronger collaboration network.”
Also Bernardo Bianchessi underlined the importance “of these important initiatives for increasing safety”.
