CASERTA – Gioventù Casertana also sides with Paolo Santonastaso, Forza Italia councilor addressed with harsh words by the mayor Carlo Marino during yesterday’s City Council, valid for the approval of the final budget: “A totally unseemly show was staged yesterday and unworthy of a city like Caserta. Fascist and forklifter, this is what City Councilor Paolo Santonastaso had to hear who, moreover, was repeatedly prevented from speaking by the Mayor who deemed it more right to insult the Councilor to the full satisfaction of him and some members of the majority. Councilor Santonastaso did well not to give in to provocations and insults, postponing the discussion to a later time and demonstrating an education and respect that, apparently, is lacking in those who administer this city. The tension and nervousness, as the Honorable Marco Cerreto also well reiterated, that the city government is experiencing in this period due to various legal problems, cannot be a justification for acts of this type which do nothing but ruin the principle democratic. As the Casertana Youth list, part of an organization such as the Youth Forum which represents the boys and girls of this city, we firmly condemn what happened and express total solidarity with our coordinator Cons. Paolo Santonastaso”.
