THE LONG SUMMER WITH THE ALPINE GUIDES OF LOMBARDY

The upcoming summer will be full of events with the Alpine guides they Medium Mountain guidesof the Lombardy Alpine Guide College.

A busy schedule of appointments: you meet everyone free and open to adults and children to bring newbies and those already passionate about the mountains and our professions closer.

The initiatives aim to promote the conscious use of natural spaces and spread a correct approach to outdoor activities, the first requirement for personal safety when frequenting the outdoor environment.

Below is the calendar of activities:

> JULY-AUGUST

  • 12 excursions
  • 2 preparatory courses for the next aptitude tests, scheduled for the last week of September, to access the 1st level Aspiring Guide course. The days will be one on July 14th on rock climbing and one on July 20th on progression on snow and ice: they will not be open to beginners, but to those who already have experience and are interested in the professional path of the Alpine Guide
  • 1 Webinar “Becoming an Alpine Guide”, on the zoom platform, scheduled for Friday 21 June at 8.30 pm

> SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER

  • Guides’ Festival in Val Masino on 7 September: there will be excursions, climbing, equipped routes and zip lines
  • 8 days of climbing at the crag, spread over the weekends from 14 September to 6 October

EXCURSIONS

Summer begins with excursions with medium mountain guides, 12 in total from July 7th to August 4thdistributed in the various mountain provinces of Lombardy.

Four will take place on Sunday 7 July, on the occasion of Regional Mountain Day, established by the Lombardy Region to promote and enhance mountain territories.

  • From Rasa di Varese to Mount Martica, Campo dei Fiori Park (VA)
  • Glaciological path to the Forni glacier, Stelvio Park (SO)

07/21/2024

  • Valzaroten Bivouac, Stelvio Park (BS)
  • The trenches of Monte Generoso (CO)

07/28/2024

  • Val Taleggio straddling an ancient border, Bergamo Orobie Park (BG)
  • Pialeral ring – Brunino – Prabello – Alpe Cova, Northern Grigna Park (LC)

04/08/2024

  • Culino Lake, Orobie Valtellina Park (SO)
  • At the foot of the Devil’s Lake, Bergamo Orobie Park (BG)

The days are completely free, the registrations they are carried out directly on the College website where all the information can also be found.

The excursions are also open to minors aged 10 and over: children between 10 and 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who takes their place.

Registrations will close when the maximum number of participants is reached or in any case on the Thursday before the day of the excursion.

Given the high demand that characterizes these initiatives every year and given that each event is necessarily open to a limited number of participants, those who register are required to show up or cancel as far in advance as possibleto allow other people to register and the best possible organization by the many professionals involved in the initiative.

This year, all participants will be able to collect a free accessory from the Lombardy Region at the start of each excursion.
