Special waste trafficker discovered in San Biagio Platani, 67-year-old reported

At the end of a targeted investigation organized by the Cammarata Company, the Carabinieri of the San Biagio Platani station handed over a 67-year-old pensioner, held responsible for abandoning special waste, a crime, to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Agrigento in a state of freedom. provided for and punished by art. 256 of Legislative Decree 152/2006, better known as the “Consolidated Environment Act”.

Specifically, the military, assisted in the final phase of the investigations by personnel from the ARPA of Agrigento, found that the man, using a means of transport with a trailer that he owned, had organized a real “door to door” collection ” of special waste such as refrigerator carcasses, exhausted air conditioners, plastic packaging, end-of-life tires and various types of electrical equipment. The waste was then piled up inside two areas owned by him, consisting of warehouses and sheds; one of which is subject to hydrogeological constraints.



The two areas, containing a large quantity of special waste, were subjected to seizure. The environmental damage caused by the illicit conduct of the sixty-seven-year-old is being quantified.
