L’AQUILA – Yesterday, 19 June 2024, the boys of Future Community were guests of the Mani Tese Community of Fraterna Tau for a coordinated training activity for unaccompanied foreign minors, resulting from the meeting organized by the Prosecutor’s Office at the Juvenile Court of L’Aquila on the topic “Identification and taking charge of potential minor victims of trafficking and/or exploitation”, held on 23 April.

Yesterday’s training was conducted by professionals from On the Road Cooperative, which, on a daily basis, works for the protection and promotion of human and civil rights. 30 young people participated in the event, including 15 Arabic speakers and 15 French speakers, guests of the Future Community by Fernando A. Gallo & snc And Outstretched hands.

For unaccompanied foreign minors, who often find themselves in a situation of extreme vulnerability, knowing Italian laws and the role of educators can make the difference between being protected and falling victim to trafficking or exploitation. The objective of the experiential activities was to provide the children with concrete means to identify and deal with potentially dangerous situations in the correct way.

Through simulations and practical scenarios, the young participants acquired essential skills for their safety and integration.”
