Festival of gullies and blue clays

The Festival dei calanchi returns for the third year, a cultural event held in the midst of nature, in some museums and in accommodation facilities in the Romagna area.
The project aims to enhance the geographical area of the so-called “blue clay gullies”, a geographical area between the territories of Faenza, Brisighella, Riolo Terme, Castel Bolognese.
A territory that includes panoramic terraces, breathtaking views, precious clays, thermal water sources, vineyards and prized crops and which is the subject of countless stories, narratives and legends. An area which is at the basis of the entire history of ceramics in our entire territory and which was an inspiration for many artists, and in particular Carlo Zauli, who dedicated a large part of his artistic work to these lands.

An area, therefore, which in just a few square kilometers contains naturalistic and cultural wonders, laying the foundations of a double track that this project wants to follow, addressing two types of public: art lovers and those of nature, of local food and wine and physical well-being in the open air.

The Festival will develop between different artistic disciplines, offering exhibitions, workshops and performances of visual arts, theatre, dance, poetic readings, concerts, installations between architecture and design, food and wine tastings, yoga and biogymnastics workshops, cultural treks, meetings linked to environmental sustainability with the aim of telling this vast heritage, so rich that we set the creation of a real Calanques Cultural Park as our next objective.
