The final exam begins for 2,500 students from Novara

From this morning to 8.30, Wednesday 19 June, approximately 2,500 students from Novara – over 33 thousand in all of Piedmont – will be called to take the final exam. In the province of Novara the students were divided into 4 commissions

Today the Italian test for everyone which includes, as always, 6 hours to choose and develop one of the seven multidisciplinary tracks. The tracks are divided into three types: two of analysis of the poetic or prose text, three of analysis and production of an argumentative text, two of current issues.

The second test, scheduled for tomorrow, will instead concern one or more disciplines characterizing the course of studies, while for the new professional institutes it will focus on fundamental skills and thematic cores. At classical high school the second test will be a version of Greek, while at scientific high school it will be mathematics.

The interview, which will take place after the written tests, will have an interdisciplinary character and will aim to evaluate the student’s ability to connect the knowledge acquired and his educational, cultural and professional profile. It will start from an initial starting point chosen by the commission and will include the exposition of the PCTO (Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation) experience carried out during the course of studies.

The final grade of the state exam will be expressed in hundredths and will take into account the school credit (up to 40 points), the grades of the two written tests (up to 20 points each) and the grade of the interview (up to 20 points). There are up to 5 “bonus” points for those who are entitled to them. The minimum score to pass the exam is 60/100, while the maximum is 100/100 with the possibility of honors.
