CAMPOBASSO – The center-left still returns to the results of the elected representatives. The presenters of the lists of the civic-progressive coalition intervene Alessandra Salvatore for the PD, Antonio Federico for the M5S, Augusto Massa for the Greens and Left Alliance, Marcello Miniscalco for the Socialists, Massimo Romano to Build Democracy.
“The Central Electoral Commission has not certified the future composition of the City Council in any way. For now, in fact, the Commission has limited itself to verifying:
- the possible exceeding, by one of the three Mayoral candidates, of the threshold of 50% of the votes, so as to decree the possible run-off round (then decreed, as we had supported since Sunday evening, on the basis of the precise data in our possession);
- preferences for individual lists;
- preferences to individual candidates.
The verification procedure has been suspended and will be resumed after the ballot. No distribution of seats was certified and made official, because it was not possible to do so.
In fact, the other data (“dry” votes for Mayors, blank ballots, etc.) necessary together with those that the ballot will give us – to calculate the distribution of seats in the Council have not been verified. This means that neither of the two coalitions can be certain whether one or the other will actually exceed 50% of the valid votes. Any statement that supports this, as happened with the ballot question, is completely unfounded and specious.”
