A large fire broke out in the afternoon in Naples, on the hill of Camaldoli which overlooks the Soccavo-Pianura perimeter connection.

In the same hours another serious fire broke out between the municipalities of Giugliano in Campania and Aversa, between the provinces of Naples and Caserta.

The thick blanket of black smoke was immediately visible from kilometers away, even from Naples.

The fire broke out in a warehouse Aversa building materialin viale Europa.

In a few minutes the smoke made the air unbreathable, so the inhabitants of the area closed their balconies and windows, barricading themselves in their homes, despite the heat.

The flames also hit two apartments located near the warehouse.

6 teams of firefighters arrived on site, coming from the command center, from the Aversa and Marcianise detachments, as well as from the commands of Naples, Benevento and Avellino.

To put out the flames, three tankers were needed from the Caserta command and another from the Benevento command. A self-protector wagon and a port aircraft from the Salerno command were also used.

The judicial police have started an investigation to establish the causes of the incident.
