Betty Bavagnoli and Giancarlo Lavorati continue to work with their heads down to study those transfer market maneuvers that will strengthen the Roma women’s team in view of next season, while in the meantime the arrival of Olivie Lukasova is anxiously awaited. Next season will see the Capitoline association as the team to beat, especially at Italian level. But not only. Because around Trigoria there is an iron will to do well even beyond national borders, perhaps making a long journey in the Champions Cup, where international consecration is sought. Even more so after two years of great successes along the way Boot which now deserve other stages.

Precisely for this reason the transfer market maneuvers continue incessantly between renewals and non-confirmations. In reality, a first purchase had already been made a few weeks ago, even if it still lacks the trappings of official status given the culpable delay in announcing it by the club through its official channels. We are talking, as anticipated, about Lukasova, who has already been associated with the Capitoline team for a few weeks with whom she has an agreement in principle. That of the Serbian goalkeeper is a good profile, at least judging by the international experience that enriches the footballer’s CV. This was the same thing as Alessandro Spugna’s team two seasons ago.

In fact, Lukasova had already faced Roma in the Champions League, as an opponent, when she defended the posts of Slavia Prague. He will arrive at Spugna’s court on a free transfer and will compete for the position with Camelia Ceasar, the goalkeeper who has been the starter until now. A good challenge between the two. Also because the Czech national team will certainly come to the banks of the Tiber for a leading role. And that’s exactly what Spugna, who strongly wanted her after observing her closely in the double European cross at the end of 2022, hopes for. Not love at first sight, but almost…

Having her in this transfer market, however, was not at all easy for the Roma women’s team, given that Juventus also liked Lukasova, who not surprisingly tried to get involved in the negotiation. The reason is very simple: Lukasova’s contract was expiring with Slavia and the move to the Giallorossi practically took place on a free transfer. Not a penny spent, except those that will clearly involve the salary. Meanwhile, the class of 2001 has now returned from European commitments with the national team, after which they will enjoy the well-deserved holidays in view of the new Roma season. In Trigoria they are also waiting impatiently to present it officially.
