Meeting on the critical issues of the urban garbage service
Savona waste collection – Yesterday, Tuesday 18 June, a meeting took place in the Province between President Olivieri, the Offices with the presence of the manager Vacca, Sat spa and representatives of the municipal administrations.
A meeting mainly dedicated to the analysis of requests made by the Valbormidese area, previously served by Ideal Service or Proteo.
The critical aspects and specific needs of citizens were examined, with the aim of optimizing the waste management service and ensuring better efficiency and sustainability for the entire province.

It was further specified that, with the approval of the various PEFs, which include the purchase of Mater-Bi bags, any unused funds will be returned in the form of a tax to each Municipality in the end-of-year balance, keeping the budget in balance .
In order to guarantee the uniformity of the material at the base of the processing cycle, the use of these specific bags for the organic fraction shows limitations in effectiveness, as the product is not recovered entirely.
Therefore – concludes the president -, it would be advantageous for the company, which has the participation of 65 of the 66 Municipalities of the homogeneous area, to ratify the use of all bags, as long as they are biodegradable, in order to optimize the process and achieve significant savings in terms of public money>>.
