A mega Volo concert in the heart of the Valley of the Temples will arrive this summer to “bless” the 2025 Capital of Culture.
The program of the event is still very confidential, but for weeks we have been working to make possible an event of great prestige but which will only be for a few.
According to what has been leaked so far, the show, which will take place in front of the temple of Concordia and which could be filmed for the creation of a promotional video for the city in view of next year’s event, could in fact be by invitation only. This is because the area in front of the monument cannot contain a particularly high number of people, and despite the controversy that will follow, the organizers’ decision seems to be oriented in this direction.
Everything should happen by July, provided that it is possible to obtain the transfer of the necessary sums from the Region, falling within the fund allocated to the 2024 Capital of Culture events. Among other things, according to what is said, the cost of the show could amount to several hundred thousand euros including organization costs, payment of artists, etc.
The idea, however, is to create a “showcase” that launches Agrigento towards 2025, with the hope that in January the city will be ready to make the most of this great opportunity.
