“With regards to the refreshments for businesses and private individuals (the total amount of the requirement is 357,558,814.49 euros) to date, contributions to private individuals and businesses have not yet been recognised, or disbursed as they have not been the resources have still been made available by the Government” is what we read in the response received by the PD regional councilor Matteo Piloni following yet another question asking for reimbursements requested for damages last July and the amount of reports from companies and private individuals.
“Almost a year after the extreme calamitous events which caused significant damage to many people in Lombardy, citizens and businesses have still not seen a single euro – attacks Piloni – and we find the same situation in the agricultural world which only in this period is receiving some compensation relating to damages of 2022, while for 2023, for many provinces, including that of Cremona, we still have to wait for the distribution of Masaf. What are they waiting for?”
“If only the Lombardy Region, to date, had fulfilled even half of the commitments that the entire regional council, including its majority, had asked of it through a motion approved last July, we would certainly not be in this situation today” he underlines the dem councilor.
“We had asked for the activation of an extraordinary regional fund for compensation for damages, a plan to support municipalities for the restoration of public buildings, the activation of agreements with banks for the suspension of mortgages and none of this it has been done” concludes Piloni.
