After yesterday’s meeting, which was attended by over 500 fans, the Ultras of Padova have issued an official statement to take a stand against the club:
IT IS NO LONGER A MATTER OF DIGNITY, BUT OF SURVIVAL!
Supporting Padova has become INHUMAN!
We are one of the most productive, thriving and important cities in the north-east, yet we still find ourselves with the most disastrous and least usable stadium in Italy.
WE HAVE TRIED THEM ALL!
We fought for the choice of the PLEBISCATE, still considering it the best solution for the sustainability of future clubs, for us fans, for the team, but swallowing a bitter pill.
We have observed various “projects” of science fiction renovations of the Euganean “Stadium”, with related services, shopping and sports centers, melted like snow in the sun.
We agreed to move to the East Stand in the hope of modernizing the facility, with the obvious negative consequences of coexistence, both for the regular fans of that sector and for myself.
Lastly, we have seen yet another concrete proposal quickly declined, even outside the Municipality of Padua, aimed at abandoning a decrepit, uncomfortable structure devoid of any service, partially under seizure… a plant symbol par excellence of the mismanagement of public money, even our!
We have always fought, despite everything, to give a future to our fans, with the vision constantly aimed at the new Biancoscudate generations!
Everything, everything for the love of the PADOVA 1910 FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.
THE RESULT?
We no longer even have the Tribuna Fattori, a sector in which, for better or worse, we have cultivated a worthy hard core for years.
We are relegated, punished, helpless to observe what has become the classic unfinished work Italica.
As if the pathetically reduced capacity wasn’t enough, which if you look at the availability numbers ends up favoring any visiting fans in proportion (the only case in Italy), there was no requirement to modify and make the facility safe by the police headquarters.
Will the police commissioner be so diligent, as he has often been towards us, to deny us access for next season?
The Euganeo stadium is nothing more than the mirror of a 360 degree disastrous situation here in Padua.
THE SOCIETY?
Dehumanized, deaf, blind, without any planning, totally indifferent to the mood of the square.
At the center a cowardly manager, always hidden in every key moment, creator of a profoundly negative climate with the square, with the locker room, with the coaches, with the employees, author of an impassable gap between the club and everything that is the love for Biancoscudo.
At the top is a majority shareholder who never manages to take a low-cost €55 return flight from London to Venice to come to Padua to see his investment.
THE SPORTS CENTER?
We are still waiting for the rendering, at this point we recommend a Lego construction set on offer on Amazon.
PADUAN POLITICS?
Disinterested in the fate of Calcio Padova, hostile to its prestige, which continues to throw taxpayers’ money into this INHUMAN “Stadium”.
A city heritage reduced to something cumbersome, marginal, at times annoying.
We are tired and also pissed off, seeing in the meantime all the realities close to us proceeding quickly, with concrete investments and winning sports projects.
Everywhere we turn we see evil, we have reached the END OF THE LINE.
Aware of having “taken the right path” for our survival, we officially communicate the decision NOT to SUBSCRIBE and to DEFECT the Euganean “Stadium”, inviting every single Biancoscudato fan to follow us.
All our efforts and sacrifices will be aimed at bringing as many away fans as possible, in a Serie C that is more like a Serie D.
We will monitor any changes from now on, entering the Euganeo “Stadium” in the ways, times and sectors we deem most appropriate.
From today onwards our common priority will be to NOT EXTINGUISH ourselves, to give a future to ALL those Biancoscudati fans, young and old, who courageously want to support the colors of their city in a place worthy of our boundless feeling.
We announced drastic actions, so it happened.
A SOULLESS society and stadium deserve a DEHUMANIZED climate.
Patience is over, dignity too, let’s save ourselves.
