The operators of the flying squad of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office of the local Police Headquarters arrested a 30-year-old from Crotone, held responsible for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs. The officers intervened at a B&B in the historic city centre, as a strong smell of a narcotic substance had been reported coming from one of the rooms. Therefore, the officers identified the man who was inside the room and carried out a thorough search which allowed them to find 8 wrappers containing 60 grams of hashish, an electronic scale, various packaging material, as well as a knife still filled with narcotic substance. Subsequently, the operators also carried out a search in the man’s home, which allowed them to find a further scale and a knife, both impregnated with the same narcotic substance found inside the B&B, as well as a cal. 9. The material found was subjected to criminal seizure and the subject was arrested for the crime of possession for the purpose of trafficking of narcotic substances, as well as reported for illegal possession of ammunition, and made available to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Crotone.
