One step agreement between Inter and Martinez, Genoa has chosen Oristanio

The intense dialogue continues between Inter And Genoa on the market. The Nerazzurri are interested in various profiles of the Ligurians and in particular in the flexible striker Albert Gudmundsson and the goalkeeper Josep Martinez. In particular on the latter, the Milanese club is currently trying to find a worthy deputy for Yann Sommer.

The situation

According to several transfer market experts, including Fabrizio Roman, the dialogue is increasingly dense and the situation is increasingly closer. The formula is that of a good portion of cash plus the inclusion of a technical counterpart, with the Genoa club aiming to focus heavily on Gaetano Oristanio. The former Cagliari attacking midfielder, on loan in Sardinia this year, was not bought out by Tommaso Giulini’s club, with sporting director Nereo Bonato declaring in a press conference that he was interested in keeping negotiations open on a lower valuation to the 4 million requested by the Nerazzurri (around 2 million, 2 and a half million the quotation made by the Sardinians). Genoa’s choice, however, makes it almost impossible to save program changes in the Martinez negotiation, allow Cagliari to bring Oristanio back to Asseminello and put him at the service of Davide Nicola, who will be announced as the new rossoblù coach in the next few hours.

However, this does not mean that Cagliari and Inter do not keep a negotiating table open on some young profiles. As told in the last few hours, Bonato and Giulini like the profile of the Italian Pio Esposito (class of 2005). The versatile striker who grew up in the Milanese youth sector is fresh from his experience in Serie B which ended with 3 goals against Spezia (in 38 appearances) and the Nerazzurri would like to send him to gain experience in Serie A. The formula could be similar to the one he brought Oristanio in Sardinia, i.e. a loan with right of redemption.
