«Thanks to the initiative of the Disabled Guarantor and my personal commitment to bring the problem to the Urban Planning, Mobility and Traffic Commission, of which I am a member, ordinance no. was issued. 713/2024 to integrate n. 661/2024, which provides for the installation of the first H seats in front of the former Charleston bathing establishment. Currently, the offices are working on further stalls along the seafront of Viale Regina Elena.
It was essential to provide these stalls to improve the accessibility and usability of the area for people with disabilities. I thank councilor Falzone for having followed up on the requests of the families of disabled people, with the Guarantor acting as spokesperson, demonstrating sensitivity and attention towards the needs of accessibility and inclusiveness in our community.
I would also like to thank the Urban Planning, Mobility and Traffic Commission which has shown itself to be united in carrying forward this important request to improve the living conditions of people with disabilities, who will now be able to easily enjoy one of the most beautiful and loved places in our city as Mondello. This is only the first step towards the complete use of the entire area. I will continue to ask for true pedestrianization that can allow citizens to enjoy Mondello in maximum safety.”
