Magnani joins the government team – Video Il Tirreno

LIVORNO. This morning at 11 in the ceremony room of the town hall the Salvetti bis was born. 24 hours ahead of the council’s training record written in 2019 (when it took 8 days), the mayor will present his new team just a week after re-election. Until yesterday, only one piece was missing to complete the puzzle, that of councilor for innovation and youth policies, a position that had been reserved for a member of the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra.

“It was an intense day, made up of numerous meetings to make everything work out”, said the mayor Luca Salvetti in the evening, who however preferred not to reveal the name of the chosen one. Apparently the decision has been made and the choice fell on Michele Magnani. 54 years old, graduated in contemporary philosophy with a thesis on Visual Culture, Magnani boasts a long political experience intertwined with that at Corecom, the regional committee for communications, of which he was an advisor from 2006 to 2011.

He was there, at the Aquarium in mid-May, representing the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra in the conference presenting Mayor Salvetti’s program, as the program’s contact person. If there is no last-minute news, he will be one of the two new members of Salvetti’s team together with Federico Mirabelli, municipal secretary of the Democratic Party and former dem municipal councilor. Team from which Gianfranco Simoncini and Barbara Bonciani left instead.

Magnani, also due to the internal dynamics of Avs, beat the competition of the principal of the classical high school Tiziana Cini. The delegation that you will receive will also include the university, the Livorno campus, the digital transition and the start-ups.
