This extraordinary achievement would not have been possible without sensitivity and professionalism and the dedication of doctors and healthcare workers involved in this noble activity. In April the Asst Ovest Milanese was awarded by the non-profit Transplant Foundation with the “Donation Star” in recognition of the commitment demonstrated in supporting and promoting organ and tissue donation: on that occasion it was remembered that in 2023 in Asst Ovest Milanese, 68 organs and 266 tissues of various kinds had been donated.
