PESARO Surveillance package defined Capuchin underpass with the installation of 5 cameras that will cover the entire area of the bus station and Miralfiore park. SOS columns will also be installed for emergency situations.

Completion

After the reopening of the De Sabbata railway overpass, the long work of securing one of the most sensitive areas of the city is complete, so that traveling through the Cappuccini underpass and feeling safer will soon be a reality. Two months after the conclusion of the works and the inauguration of the railway overpass (an inauguration which was understated because it took place during the election campaign), the work on the underpass is completed with the video surveillance project already ready. 15 thousand euros are expected within “Sprint” via dell’Acquedotto and the railway station and dedicated to interventions to improve urban safety in a participatory way.

The task of creating the video surveillance was entrusted to Dago Elettronica of Fano, partner and supplier of the video system, which in addition to the underpass will also allow, in agreement with the police, to monitor the traffic in the area and the parking lots adjacent to the Miralfiore park. And so after the structural and vehicle safety work carried out on the overpass and underpass, the road intervention increasingly becomes an anti-degradation operation. Furthermore, the new surveillance will allow us to intercept drug dealing situations, pushers in action and in general that petty crime that finds fertile ground between the station and Miralfiore. The fight against degradation facilitates controls and puts a brake on those who intend to carry out acts of vandalism, petty theft and pickpocketing, as has already happened in the past.

The actions on participatory safety, as part of the “Sprint” project, thus become concrete, with the new cameras, the SOS columns for the “emergency call” which is made simply by pressing a button, but above all with the installation of a terminal which will be the brain of the video surveillance system.

The assignment

Dago Elettronica will take care of the installation work by providing modern video systems with a wide range of action, capable of providing better defined images capable of enhancing even the existing system.

The placement

The new cameras, as stated in the latest municipal spending determination, will be 5 and will be installed in Piazzale Falcone-Borsellino, in the areas of the bus station and ticket office, in the area that runs along the Capuchin church and in Viale XXIV Maggio. These are 4 megapixel cameras, i.e. high resolution, useful for precisely identifying people or objects, equipped with an IP connection that allows you to view the data in real time from any device or internet access that is connected. Video surveillance, which will be managed directly by the local police. This action, after the LEDs positioned along the route, which allows us to close the circle on a work inaugurated last April.
