The event – free and open to all, without the need for reservations – is for Friday 21 June at the Giardini del Sole: from 5pm to 10pm, the green area of the Farnesiana will be the scene of the 4th edition of the “Midsummer Dream” organized from the Center for Families with the Le Valigie Association.
Games and workshops starting in the late afternoon, they will welcome families who want to spend a few hours sharing and participating, themes that accompany the third year of the “Follow Us, the road to active citizenship” project.
The event, scheduled to coincide with summer solstice to symbolically welcome the arrival of the new season, the long hours of light and the rediscovered collective time, it will allow participants to test themselves with wooden games, strategies within a giant chessboard, practice of yoga for children and adults, dances and activities inspired by music, but also workshop corners for the creation of bracelets with beads, small clay pendants and natural materials.
The book exchange will be in operation throughout the afternoon: anyone who wishes can donate one or more children’s volumes (in good condition) and take one or more from those left by others, to fuel a virtuous circle of exchange and reuse.
As evening falls, a long table will be set up under the wisteria pergola that adorns the garden and each family will be able to have their dinner amidst chatting and new acquaintances, before the animated narration of Pappa and Pero which will accompany them to good night.
The initiative, organized by the Le Valigie Association, takes place in collaboration with Nonno Banter 57 aps, Anna Girolamo Yoga, the Unicef Piacenza Committee and the Social-Recreational Activities Office of the Municipality of Piacenza.
In case of bad weather, the activities will take place inside the premises of the Family Center, in the Galleria del Sole.
