MILAN – Lombardy Region rejects left-wing motions on abortion and Pride. “The PD has never made any proposals on maternity protection but only in favor of abortion. If there are freedoms, there are also conscientious objectors against abortion” is the comment of Alessandra Cappellari, regional councilor of the League.
“This – continues Cappellari – is yet another completely ideological motion presented from the left that law 194 targets asking for its full application – he comments “The only real intent is, again, to confuse citizens by making them think that this is a law exclusively on abortion, which it is not. The motion is presented following an amendment by the Government which allows the Regions, in organizing consultancy services, to also avail themselves – without burdening public finances – of the involvement of third sector entities who have qualified experience in supporting maternity”
LAnother motion rejected by the Regional Council is the one on Gay Pride.
“Every year the left promptly presents the request for delegation as representatives of the institutions in the Regional Council, ignoring how these events are too often accompanied by episodes that are nothing short of folkloristic, sometimes blasphemous, which have nothing to do with the theme of discrimination and inclusion. Supporting Pride from an institutional point of view, which is a political and divisive demonstration, also means supporting illegal practices such as rented wombs, or equally aberrant practices such as the abuse of drugs to block children’s puberty” – concludes Cappellari
