Lambro Bridge (Como) – Is dead a few minutes after arriving at the hospital, while the doctors were still trying to resuscitate him. The 19 year old Elias Sandani, this is the name of the victim, at 3.30 pm he had not resurfaced, after a dip in the Lambro river.
Some people who were with him saw him disappear into the water, in the locality of Fucina in Ponte Lambro, on the border with Caslino d’Erba, without resurfacing, and they raised the alarm. The fire brigade divers, upon indication from the helicopter who was flying over the area, they identified him after about an hour, and took him to shore, where he was entrusted to the care of 118. But his condition was dramatic: doctors tried for a long time to revive him, urgently transporting him by air ambulance to the Sant’Anna hospital, where he stopped living shortly after arrival. The police intervened on site and are trying to better reconstruct the circumstances in which the tragedy occurred and who was present.
Elias Sandani20 years old on October 1st, was originally from Canzo, also in the province of Como, and played football in the local Giovanile Canzese team.
