Alberti graduated from the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Palermo, studying under the guidance of Maestros Antonio Fortunato and Eliodoro Sollima. She shared many great successes with her brother Vincenzo: their duopiano became famous in European scenarios and beyond Europe. Today Maestro Giacometta is a piano professor at the “Antonio Scontrino” music conservatory in Trapani. You have participated in many master classes in Italy and abroad held by well-known masters such as Boris Petrushanskij, Piero Rattalino, Alessandro Specchi. Edith Picht Axenfeld (student of pianist Rudolf Serkin), considered by international critics to be one of the most important personalities recognized at European level and Ambassador of Bach’s music. She won a scholarship to attend the “School of High Musical Specialization” in Saluzzo, where she specialized both as a soloist and in chamber music with renowned teachers such as the pianist Margaret Pu, the cellist Elisabeth Wilson, the violinist Mariana Sirbu and Maestro Sergiu Celibidache. In 1992, thanks to a national competition, you obtained the qualification as Master Pianist Accompanist at the Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia di Danza in Rome. As an accompanying pianist Giacometta Marrone d’Alberti has collaborated with various masters including Federico Agostini, Yosuke Kawasaki, Winfried Rademacher.
In 2003 the artistic meeting with the pianist Maria Joao Pires who invited her to participate in his Masterclass courses in Castel Branco in Portugal. She has won numerous national and international competitions both as a soloist and in chamber music and has received invitations from international organizations, large halls and theaters, in the most important cultural centers in Europe, Russia, Mexico, Japan and the United States.
