The former environmental councilor of the municipality of Terni Mascia Aniello relaunches her accusations against Ast and, this time, leaving aside politics, she attacks the trade union organizations that “do not see and do not hear”, “they should know well the nature of the phenomena immortalized, because they are constantly repeated every day, for years” and “it is masochistic to pretend that it doesn’t even happen”.
The destinies of Terni – reiterates the former councilor – “ they have always been directed from viale Brin and not from Palazzo Spada, also seen the large crowd of public officials distant from their official duties and prone to AST desires, between Rome, Perugia and Terni”.
Hexavalent chromium in the aquifers, toxic clouds, a sensational dusting, a purification that metallises the Nera river, food contamination, and much more, also denounced by the late magistrate Santoloci, certified by the Sentieri Studies of the Ministry of Health, etc. Yet it’s not enough.
I no longer intend to enter into the dynamics of politics, just as I reject those of the unions, but I cannot help but point out how in 2012, in Taranto, many workers’ representatives took on an attitude identical to that of those who, here, today, equally do not see or hear what happens.
However, I will try to give a last bit of help to you gentlemen, given that the city of Terni itself speaks about it in a whisper, with the usual but useless deference towards Viale Brin: below I leave one of the many shocking images in my possession, including photographs and recordings of what happens in AST, already delivered to the appropriate locations together with other documents. This image is not even the worst, between ‘fog in Valpadana’ and layers of dust on the ground, which are also clearly visible from satellite.
Some of the unions, certainly informed by the workers, should know well the nature of the phenomena immortalized, because they have been constantly repeated every day, for years.
Is all this legal? I think the opposite and it is masochistic to pretend that it doesn’t even happen.
Many images were examined by the Mayor himself, who assured me of his interest. Nine months ago, he himself, at my request, had formally asked ARPA and the Region to install surveillance cameras for fugitive emissions, which obviously no one has ever installed, despite numerous requests.
There is an ‘invisible hand’ on the city which effectively forces its government: the destinies of Terni have always been directed from Viale Brin and not from Palazzo Spada, also seen the large crowd of public officials distant from their official duties and prone to AST desires, between Rome, Perugia and Terni.
That “we must not make them feel controlled”, the expression of a former trade unionist, councilor in office, a conversation that can be proven in every forum by the undersigned, represents, moreover, a mindset more deeply rooted than ever in the ruling class. But as long as industrial relations remain at such a stage of servility towards a company with a very high environmental and health impact, we will not register any evolution, any progress, reaching a point of no return with inevitably disastrous consequences, as demonstrated by time as stated in the introduction: hexavalent chromium in the aquifers, toxic clouds, a sensational dusting, a purification that metallizes the Nera river, food contamination, etc.
I don’t intend to dwell on it, because, as a public official, I have scrupulously collected episodes of all kinds: we are faced with a criminal judicial matter to be opened and defined as soon as possible.
