RSU BUSITALIA SITA NORD UMBRIA ELECTIONS, THE FIT CISL UMBRIA: “THANKS TO THE VOTERS, CANDIDATES AND ACTIVISTS WHO ARE COMMITTED TO THIS IMPORTANT RESULT”
PERUGIA, 18 June 2024 – As part of last week’s RSU Busitalia Sita Nord Umbria elections, Fit Cisl Umbria consolidated the 5 delegates it had already obtained in 2019 and increased its votes in absolute terms. “Excellent results – says the Fit Cisl Umbria regional secretary Fabio Ciancabilla (in the photo) – which makes us the second union in this company. This is despite the difficult period that the Local Public Transport sector has been going through for some time now in Italy and, in particular, in our region. In Umbria we are facing the issue of renewing tenders and this does not give certainty to the company and the workers. Not having received answers from the company, the workers find themselves in more and more difficulty. In this context, our position was understood and supported by the workers. We have made credible proposals to the Region which have been accepted. Proposals that have been put forward to better protect workers, such as the inclusion of the so-called “strengthened social clause” in the TPL tender. Absolute novelty in national terms. Our effort, within the possible limits of current legislation, was rewarded.”
