TREVISO – Violence against womenthe institutions they network to fight the phenomenon more effectively. In the last year the brand has registered several feminicides, as well as brutal episodes of abuse and stalking. Hence the need for a contrast even closer to the scourge of gender violence. The latest initiative, in chronological order, promoted by Interinstitutional table it’s called “Network Connections”. This morning, 18 June, the first of three meetings scheduled for “experts” was held at the provincial headquarters of the Treviso Armed Forces.

The table, coordinated by the violence prevention operational unit of the municipality of Treviso, is made up of representatives of various institutions, police, entities And associations. The project will be divided into a series of local meetings for “experts” (three scheduled, in the months of June and September, respectively, in Treviso and two in other locations in the province) aimed at promoting mutual knowledge, resources and services of the Anti-Violence Network present in the territory and, a matter of primary importance, implementing the sharing of procedures that can be activated in the presence of situations of mistreatment and violence against women, also in light of the recent interventions of the legislator on the matter.
The project partners are the Provincial Command Carabinierithe Preccint and the Municipality of Trevisoi Anti-violence centers Telefono Rosa of Treviso, Center for Women Free from Violence of Quinto of Treviso (Coop La Esse), Stella Antares of Montebelluna (Coop Una Casa per l’uomo), NILDE of Castelfranco Veneto (Coop Iside), Anti-Violence Center of Vittorio Veneto ( Municipality of Vittorio Veneto), Center for Perpetrators of Violence Male Change (Coop. Una Casa per l’Man), Casa Luna Treviso Project (Coop. La Esse – Domus Nostra).
This morning, in fact, with the coordination of the Carabinieri of the capital and the violence prevention operational unit of the Municipality of Treviso, the first of the scheduled meetings took place in the headquarters of the Palazzo Zuccareda which, after the greeting addresses of the commander provincial colonel Massimoolonnello Ribaudo, and councilor Gloria Tessarolo, saw an important moment of comparison operational among the participants, engaged daily in combating violence and mistreatment against women and minors.
On this occasion, all those present – commanders of the Carabinieri stations of the Treviso and Montebelluna Companies, operators of the 112 and Emergency Response Unit, operators of the police squad and the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters, local police personnel, anti-violence centres, Center for male perpetrators of violence and of the aforementioned operational unit of the Municipality of Treviso – they really are got connectedas hoped for in the title of the project, exchanging, strengthened by their respective skills and professionalism, concrete experiences and knowledge resulting from their daily work at the service of the community and, in particular, of the victims of abuse.
There purpose of the projectas hoped by the promoters, is precisely that of address the problem of gender violence with a view to promoting ever greater integration in the field of interventions in favor of those who suffer violence and mistreatment and which sees the adoption of “good practices” common among the various actors called to give timely and decisive responses to a problem which, as recent episodes confirm, remains an emergency throughout the national territory.
