Arezzo, 18 June 2024 – On Tuesday 25 June the Ivan Bruschi Antiques House Museum will participate in the Tuscany Rainbow Summer initiative promossa from the Tuscany Region together with the newspaper La Nazione with the support of Toscana Promozione Turistica, Fondazione Sistema Toscana and Vetrina Toscana and with the participation of trade associations.

“This year too, the Ivan Bruschi Foundation is pleased to join Arcobaleno d’Estate for the launch of the summer season in the city, offering free guided tours to participants in the event in the Fortress” declares Luca Benvenuti, President of the Ivan Bruschi Foundation. “An initiative that is part of a rich summer program at Casa Bruschi: from jazz&wine, yoga and art up to Officine Vasari, the container of activities that celebrates the important Vasari anniversary without forgetting the possibility of being able to visit the exhibition The free manner , an opportunity to see works by artists of the caliber of Burri and Fontana in Arezzo”.

On the occasion of the event in the Fortress organized by Confcommercio, on 25 June from 6pm to 8pm it will be possible to visit for free the rich collection of the Arezzo antiquarian Ivan Bruschi and the suggestions created by great masters of the sixteenth century such as Pontormo, Alessandro Allori, Giuliano Bugiardini as well as and from the conspicuous nucleus of nineteenth-century paintings, with works by Giovanni Fattori, Silvestro Lega, Plinio Nomellini, Telemaco Signorini and Armando Spadini.

On the top floor of the museum the exhibition “The free manner. Abstract and informal art in the Intesa Sanpaolo collections” will allow you to appreciate, until 21 July, a thoughtful selection of thirty-four works that takes into consideration the period between the end of the Second World War and the beginning of the fabulous Sixties in Italy.

The exhibition starts by presenting that brief abstract experience that took place between the two wars with personalities such as Alberto Magnelli and Corrado Cagli, and then opens up to a freedom of manners, hence the title of the exhibition which also aims to be a tribute to Giorgio Vasari in the of his celebrations, which look to multi-material art as in Alberto Burri or to new dimensions as in Lucio Fontana; in the exhibition rooms of Casa Bruschi it will also be possible to admire artists such as Carla Accardi, Achille Perilli, Emilio Vedova, Gillo Dorfles, Bruno Munari, Atanasio Soldati, Gianni Monnet, Antonio Sanfilippo, Carol Rama, Renata Boero, Regina and Paola Levi Montalcini, Gastone Novelli and many others.
