Urban Center, General Urban Plan and administrative simplification. These are the three priorities identified by the Territory Commission of the Municipality of Foggia and by Ance Foggia, during a discussion on the issues of urban planning and construction, last 14 June.
The permanent council commission led by the engineer Giovanni Quarato and the Building and Territory Commission of the association of builders agree that the current situation of the city deserves a push in the direction of a development that affects the economy, the environment, the policies urban and housing policies in all its forms.
The discussion – they said in a joint note – was open and aimed at analyzing the city’s critical issues on the topics covered.
They have decided to implement a common action that can make an effective contribution, starting with three steps.
The first step is the rapid establishment of the Urban Center, a place of permanent exchange between local stakeholders organized in the various forms of law envisaged.
Builders and councilors intend, then, to give impetus to the preparatory activities for the definitive adoption of the City’s planning tool (Pug), which will possibly already contain elements of direct planning.
Among the objectives, tools for clear and unambiguous interpretation of the building and urban planning regulations were also indicated, with the aim of streamlining the authorization procedures also to the advantage of the administration.
To achieve the agreed objectives, the two commissions agreed to further meetings to delve deeper into the topics discussed.
