REGGIO EMILIA – I am 3,888 students from Reggio Emilia who from tomorrow will be grappling with the maturity in our province, of which 45 candidates were external to schools. 103 commissions who took office in these hours, the commission presidents are all present. The provincial school office is instead working to identify three replacements for commissioners who did not show up, bringing sick certificates or for just cause. In total there are 350 exam commissioners in the province and about fifty were replaced between yesterday and today. However, the preliminary meetings were held regularly and the commissions were established.
We therefore start tomorrow, from 8.30, with the first test, the same for everyone, and continue, Thursday, again at 8.30 with different tests according to the disciplines characterizing the individual study paths. The oral exams will begin next Monday. The kids these days also practice using theartificial intelligence: one in 4 high school graduates, according to a survey, is already using tools like ChatGPT to review the program. Only 15%, however, are using AI in relation to the traces of the written essay, while the majority are convinced that it is more useful for the oral exam. Wednesday’s test verifies both the mastery of the Italian language and the expressive, logical-linguistic and critical skills of the students. The test has a maximum duration of 6 hours. The ministry makes 7 tracks available for all study areas. In total it traces the anniversary of the assassination of Giacomo Matteotti, the birth 150 years ago of Guglielmo Marconi and that 120 years ago of Robert Oppenheimer. Also an in-depth look at the issues of climate change and the new frontiers opened by artificial intelligence. Among the most popular authors are Luigi Pirandello, Gabriele D’Annunzio, Alessandro Manzoni and Giuseppe Ungaretti. Among the historical anniversaries, the First World War stands out but the Normandy landing also makes its way. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the war in Ukraine, along with 20 years of Facebook and gender violence, are, however, at the top of the list of current issues.
