Undisciplined motorcyclists: 5 fines, 3 licenses withdrawn – L’Aquila

THE EAGLE. Five motorcyclists fined and three driving licenses revoked. This is the outcome of the past weekend, when the L’Aquila police station set up control services against high speed and the incorrect behavior of some road users, especially motorcyclists. Carsoli police officers patrolled the SS5 in the municipalities of Tagliacozzo and Carsoli, stopping 28 motorcyclists and issuing five fines. In particular, two centaurs were traveling in vehicles equipped with devices that did not comply with the provisions of the highway code and, therefore, were fined. Two other motorbike drivers did not have the required documents with them and, consequently, were fined. A fifth motorcyclist, caught overtaking on the right, had 5 points deducted from his license in addition to the expected administrative fine.

The L’Aquila highway patrol, on the SS80 in the Cermone and Campotosto areas, ascertained, through the use of telelaser, the excessive speed of numerous motorists and motorcyclists, withdrawing 3 licenses from as many motorcyclists who had exceeded the speed limits. Two of them, in addition to the administrative fine, had their license suspended for up to three months, while a third who exceeded the permitted limit by 71km/h will have to pay a fine of up to 3,382 euros, with their license suspended from 6 to 12 months. A total of 39 points were deducted.
