ANCONA – Weekend of great satisfactions for Ancona Women, protagonist of the Grassroots Awards 2023/2024 in Coverciano. as part of the event, the red and white club received the first national prize in the “Best Project on Football and Participation” category. A prestigious recognition that demonstrates the commitment to youth football and the continuous effort to promote participation and inclusion. In the field of youth football, Ancona Women was chosen among the projects proposed by the 55 National Federations.
There was, obviously, also the purely “competitive” part, which concerned the presence of the Under 10 team which represented the Marche region at the “Magic Tournament” on Saturday and Sunday: the young footballers put themselves to the test in the challenges called “Pokémon” and they faced three teams: Tavagnacco, Affrico (FI) and Sampdoria. At the same time, the Under 17 team made its mark in Riccione by participating in the “Romagna Summer Cup” National Tournament and finishing the event on the lowest step of the podium. The weekend ended with the Under 10s back on the field, this time at the “Giuliani” in Torrette, where they took part in the final tournament facing the same age men’s team.
