The funeral of Emiliano Pimpanini, the 21-year-old boy who died last Saturday in a tragic road accident between Fermignano and Urbino, will take place this afternoon. The funeral ceremony will take place at 3.30 pm (departure from 2.30 pm from the Torrette regional hospital in Ancona) in the parish church of Canavaccio di Urbino. Meanwhile, the attention of many returns to the site of the tragedy, because the stretch between Bivio Borzaga which leads towards Via Falasconi in Fermignano is a place where other accidents have already occurred. And, as in this case, with irreparable existences.
Who manages that road? The answer is not simple. The road is on the border and falls under the jurisdiction of the municipalities of Fermignano and Urbino, mirroring each other in the direction of travel. At the end of July, work will begin on the construction of a roundabout on Via Falasconi, in front of Imab, to reduce traffic and avoid further accidents. These interventions are the result of collaboration between the Municipality of Fermignano and Anas. All this, however, does not erase the terrible tragedy that so much suffering has brought to our community.
