The appointment with Wheels in History on Sunday 16 May, organized with the important support ofAutomobile Club of Foggia, received more than positive feedback. Success also confirmed by the presence of the numerous crews who, at the wheel of their historic cars, embellished another day included in the 2024 calendar of the format created thanks to ACI Historical And Automobile Club of Italy.
On a rather warm and sunny Sunday, the wonderful backdrop to the event was offered by the scenarios that embrace the Lesina Lake. Lagoon located north of Puglia, between the Tavoliere delle Puglie and the promontory of Gargano.
To ensure that the event took place in the best possible way, the precious support of the Apulian organization chaired by Raimondo Ursitti with the direction of Pasquale Elia. AC Foggia has, in fact, returned a new unforgettable event in which the passion for vintage motoring and the territorial and cultural beauties of Italy are conveyed in a single atmosphere of valorisation.

The demonstration on Sunday 16 May was concentrated around Lesina founded by Dalmatian fishermen, a small village that stands on the coastal cord that separates Lake Lesina from Adriatic Sea, in an area inhabited since the Neolithic. Characterized by evocative scenery and timeless cultural riches, the coastal strip that separates the basin from the sea is partly covered by woods where holm oaks, junipers, heather and other Mediterranean shrubs grow.
In this fourth edition of Wheels in History with AC Foggia, the participants in the motoring-cultural gathering also had the opportunity to access the visitor center of the Gargano National Park. The latter is the largest National Park in Italy which contains a vast biodiversity of flora and fauna and which is, without a doubt, a flagship for the area.

These are appointments that become anniversaries and everyone’s appreciation repays us for the efforts made and gives us new enthusiasm to continue on this path”.
As mentioned at the beginning, many crews arrived in Lesina. As many as 40 cars with the same charm and value have fully conveyed the spirit that Ruote nella Storia intends to promote in each of its stages. On this occasion, among the beautiful models that reached the foot of the Gargano there was also a 1949 Triumph, a 1966 Fiat 1100, a 1960 MG A and several Fiat Barchettas including one from 1996.
The success of this fourth edition, as also anticipated by Director Elia, gives hope for a new appointment with AC Foggia and Ruote nella Storia in 2025. Meanwhile the format continues for this season on June 23rd with AC Enna and AC Reggio Emilia.
