TURIN – The City of Turin has published a notice of market consultation in order to identify the necessary interventions and the most appropriate implementation methods to reactivate the building complex of theformer maritime colony of Loano and evaluate activities, functions and economic strategies capable of supporting the refunctionalization of the property and its appurtenances over time.

The notice is aimed exclusively at acquiring useful information for planning and preparing future administrative action for the reuse of the Loano structure.

The management hypotheses received will serve to guide the organisation’s activities regarding the feasibilityas well as the convenience And opportunityto proceed to valorisation of the property of which it is the owner, giving it “new life”, and indicate the possible methods of implementation in the light of the current context and possible developments towards different types of recipients, which include girls, boys, boys and girls. young people who are residents or who benefit from social and/or educational services in the City of Turin.

Furthermore, the technical and management solutions must guide the Civic Administration towards a future choice that has the character of social and economic sustainability over time and, therefore, guarantee a constant balance between the satisfaction of the public interest and compliance with financial constraints.

How to send proposals

Proposals must be received by 12pm on 8 July via PEC to [email protected] indicating in the subject “Application to participate in the preliminary market consultation notice pursuant to art. 77, paragraph 1, Legislative Decree 36/2023 relating to the former maritime colony “City of Turin” property in Loano”.

Where is the former maritime colony of Loano located

The complex is located in the western part of the town of Loano, at number 446 of Via Aurelia, and consists of an independent building with 3 floors above ground and a portion of the basement, with a cadastral surface area of ​​approximately 2,300 square metres. Two low buildings are part of the appurtenances, one used as a toilet, the other as a warehouse and an independent villa used as a “custody building”. These properties occupy an area of ​​the cadastral surface of 3,980 square meters, used, for the part free from buildings, part as a green area, part as a courtyard. The main building, used as a colony for a very long time, hosted the Educational Laboratory on the Mediterranean Environment of the City of Turin. The main building, which has a reflected L shape, houses a refectory and related services, offices, a games room, a medical room, the infirmary and the concierge. The rooms of the former colony are located on the first and second floors, with the related services and a couple of games rooms per floor. There is also a two-storey detached house in the surrounding park.
