acquitted manager of the Palma technical office

Acquittal for not having committed the crime: the judge for the preliminary hearing of the Agrigento court, Giuseppe Miceli, acquitted the former manager of the technical office of the Municipality of Palma, Salvatore Di Vincenzo, who ended up on trial for the accusation of forgery in a public document.

The matter dates back to 2019. The professional was accused of having made false declarations by certifying that the notice of a tender relating to the supply of barriers in the town had been duly published in the notice board.

The deputy prosecutor Salvatore Vella, at the end of the indictment, had asked for a ten-month prison sentence. The defense, with the lawyer Santo Lucia, obtained, as a condition for the summary trial, the testimony of the manager of the Municipality’s data processing center who explained how the documentation had been regularly published but the investigators, who were investigating on the basis of a complaint, they had not found it because the wrong key had been inserted.

The same documents would even still be present given that the deadline had been set for 30 June.
