Dogs looking for a family in Florence in June

The appointment is back again for the month of June Firenzetoday in collaboration with Oipa with announcements of four-legged friends who are looking for adoption and above all love. This month we are going to learn the stories of Carola, Queen, Wendy and Ugo.

• Name: Queen
• Age: 6 months
• Gender: female

• History: Queen, for her friends Queeny, arrived from the south very recently. She was brought up north by Oipa Florence volunteers to avoid a kennel with four thousand dogs, where she would have become one of many. She is at the Oipa center and we would like a happy ending with a beautiful adoption. Once the initial mistrust passed, she began to trust and rely and we discovered a very nice puppy with a great desire to do. She’s the one who when you enter the field she steals things from you to show off and takes you around. Always smiling and open to the world. She should also be told that she has fears about things she doesn’t know. At the moment, with the right guidance, she can push herself and go further. She can be adopted in contexts that are not too urban (not in the city centre). The presence of another dog would be highly advisable because he relies on you a lot. • History: Wendy is 7 years old and was born in a kennel. She weighs 25 kg and has been with us in Florence for three years. She has a varied character, she is curious and open to relationships with those who are part of her social group. She has always suffered from a very aggressive autoimmune disease and despite her efforts her condition is worsening in a shelter context. Her life expectancy is short and we don’t want her to die in the kennel. The costs for her medicines amount to around 300 euros a month.
