The dream of Ancona Under 17 continues: 2-1 at Avellino.

After a balanced start, with a couple of raids on the wing by De Michele – the most active of Avellino -, it was Ancona who took control of the reins of the match, managing the pace of possession in midfield and establishing themselves with continuity in the midfield offensive field. In the 10th minute the Marche team created their first real scoring opportunity, with Lorenzo Magini’s shot brilliantly blocked by the extreme, yet decisive, exit of Irpinia’s number 1 Giuseppe Pezzella. The Ancona chance, however, shakes Avellino, who responds in kind in the 20th minute with a great restart: Gabriele Baldari, the number 10 of the Irpinia team, is very inspired and, bucking on the wing, puts a great ball in the center for D’Onofrio, but the right by first intention of the center forward he is slightly tall. This is how in the 30th minute Avellino broke the deadlock: D’Onofrio’s tower in the middle of the field freed Baldari’s sprint who, leaving his opponent in place, served in the middle for De Michele who discarded Talozzi to score the 1st. -0. Ancona’s response was not long in coming, with a couple of persistent actions that did not lead to a goal, but the push bore fruit: right at the end of the 2′ of injury time the gore from captain Lorenzo Galeotti restored parity, sending the teams to rest at 1-1.

Lorenzo Galeotti, captain of Ancona Under 17, author of a brace

At the start of the second half, with Avellino making a double substitution (Garofalo and Lanzone for Chipak and De Michele) and Ancona replacing Bassi with Tranquilli, it was the red and whites who became dangerous in the 9th minute with a great right-footed volley by Daniele Garavalli on which Pezzella is forced to make a prodigious dive and deflect for a corner. It is a decidedly enterprising Ancona that approaches the recovery: the very high pressure of Billò’s team puts Avellino in difficulty, who are caught in the grip of the Marche players. At half-time both Molino and Bilò made a double substitution, trying to draw fresh energy from the benches: Montagna and Cilla came on for Ancona, as did Coppola and Bianco for the Lupi. Avellino arrives at the end of the match with little breath, the push comes entirely from Bilò’s boys who lay siege to the Irpinia penalty area: in the 80th minute a sensational double chance, with Galeotti’s right-footed shot crashing into the post and Schiavoni’s tap-in miraculously deflected into the corner. Precisely from the development of the corner, however, comes the deserved 2-1, again with Galeotti who solves the problem with a strike in the heart of the penalty area. Avellino, with the last remaining energy and with the strength of desperation, tries to throw itself forward, without however managing to construct a noteworthy opportunity.

Now the Allievi Nazionali final with Renate. Appointment for Tuesday 18 June at 8pm, in San Benedetto del Tronto, when the match that is worth the tricolor will be played: a match that will be broadcast live on DAZN and Vivo Azzurro TV.
