Olbia, Go Skate Day is celebrated in Piazza Nassirya

The day dedicated to skateboarding enthusiasts arrives in Nassirya square. On the occasion of Go Skate Day, the day that celebrates the iconic sport born in California, Friday 21 June, starting from 2pm, the event aims to involve skate and skate beginners but also those who have abandoned and would like to resume the discipline. Organized by the Easy Skating association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Olbia, the day will be a real street party with food stands and musical entertainment with DJs and local bands such as Wild Flava, Frankie Krueger, Bellasocio and Soleros, Lavventura, Il surname by Totti, Accabadanio, Dohlmen and Purple drip. “Skateboarding is not only intended as a sporting activity but also has a strong socio-cultural value – underlined by the association – distinguishing itself for its transversality: it is capable of uniting people from very different social and cultural contexts. It teaches tenacity and perseverance and transmits fundamental values ​​such as friendship and collaboration. Compared to other individual activities, the social component is crucial because it is precisely thanks to comparison that the personal growth of anyone who practices it takes place”. Skaters will be able to practice the sport freely and continue, at the end of the evening, with a challenge (game of skate) in which the participants will propose some maneuvers that the other skaters will have to replicate. Easy skating was born in 2017 and promotes the practice of skateboarding and rollerblading with non-competitive social purposes. He recently took part in the participatory planning of the Rinaggiu inclusive park which also includes a large skate area and took part in various sporting events; together with the Galluraid association, she was the protagonist of the latest edition of the Bookolica festival in Tempi, teaching basic techniques to girls and boys.
