Regarding the new Fiere di Parma AV stop, Ascom Parmathrough the words of its President, Vittorio Dall’Aglio, expresses a favorable opinion.

We take action on what has appeared in the local media in recent days to express some of our considerations.

“Just as we have always supported the need to extend the airport runway, in order to allow an increase in passenger traffic and at the same time an increase in tourist flows, in the same way we are strongly in favor of the creation of a high-speed stop at the Parma Fairs.

From the study carried out on the potential of this infrastructure it emerged that this stop would allow a daily increase of approximately 6,800 more travelers than the current users, with approximately 2,200,000 units in a year.

At the same time, we believe that it is essential to be able to simultaneously create a rapid and effective connection between the Fair and the city centre, so as to represent a new interesting and important opportunity for the territory, thus avoiding the mistake made by Reggio Emilia.

The opportunity of an AV stop at the Parma Fairs and the simultaneous connection with the city through a surface metro would allow visitors to the Fairs, but also tourists an alternative to using the car as a means of reaching our city, with all the consequent relative benefits in terms of liveability and environmental impact.

For this reason we believe it is essential that all the political and economic forces of our territory support this project, in the ways and terms that at the time allowed, for example, EFSA to be established in Parma.”
