Police intervention – Ancona Police Headquarters

Late yesterday evening, the Flying Squads carried out an inspection in the area of ​​Via Paolucci, reported by several residents as a meeting place for people addicted to taking and dealing narcotic substances. In those vicinities, right under the bridge of the North-South equipped axis, the police noticed three people, of foreign origin, intent on talking to each other but at the sight of them they made a hasty escape, taking different directions. One of the three was caught and in order not to be stopped and subjected to checks, he put up strong resistance, struggling and trying to punch the officers to escape. The subject, subsequently identified as a 29-year-old Tunisian citizen, had not been found in possession of any illicit substances. Meanwhile, another subject arrived on site, agitated, in a clear state altered by abuse of alcoholic beverages, as he presented the typical symptoms, alcoholic smell of breath, shining eyes, logorrhea, who, shouting and addressing the officers with threatening phrases, ordered them to let his brother go. The subject, also of Tunisian origin and aged 27, showed up on site because some acquaintances had alerted him. Since both brothers did not have the required identification documents, they were accompanied to the Police Headquarters offices for the necessary investigations. While the youngest was registered as an applicant for international protection, the other was completely unknown, present on the national territory in a state of clandestinity. Therefore, as a result of the investigations, the twenty-nine year old was referred to the Judicial Authority for resisting a Public Official and for the violation of the legislation on entry and residence in the TN, while the brother for the violation of Article 6 of the Legislative Decree .286/98 relating to the rights and obligations inherent to residence. Evaluations are underway regarding the possible adoption of administrative measures against them.
