“The nice doctor Miss Emoticon, sent by her stern director, travels the world to talk about emotions, anger, happiness, sadness; she takes notes, questions children and carries out her investigations on fear, on what scares children the most and on the monsters they know. And when it comes to giving practical examples, Miss Emoticon certainly doesn’t hold back because she travels with a monster in… hair and bones! It doesn’t take much for her to tell the story of that king who in the middle of a forest is captured by a really ugly monster with a huge head, two very small feet,
no legs, a huge mouth, very long arms and above all lots and lots of hair on every part of his body.
That’s right, him: The Hairy Monster! A monster who has a secret dream: to eat a human being! The king, in an attempt to save his life (is it possible that even a king can be afraid?) promises the monster to get him a more tender and succulent morsel: a child. And as in all self-respecting fantasy stories, what happens?
The only child the king finds at that hour (all the others are at school) is his own daughter Lucilla. What bad luck! …but
Don’t worry, there’s a twist: Lucilla, with her intelligence, succeeds in an undertaking in which even adults have
failed: break the spell that imprisons a handsome prince in the horrible Hairy Monster… In short, power to the little ones!
Miss Emoticon teaches the children not to be afraid, but the director gets angry with her and fires her on the spot… Well! Miss
Emoticon instead of being sad is very happy and decides that from now on her job will not be to serve a
“monster” director but to help children experience all emotions well!”
