The minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, holder of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, is in the city for the second time to meet the economic categories and to once again support the candidacy of the centre-right candidate Alessandro Portesani. After the closed-door meeting at the headquarters of the Industrial Association of Cremona, the Minister asked some questions to the local and national press.
“There is a real and serious issue, it is difficult to find qualified labor even in these areas. The demographic winter also affects a bit here, and a bit the different attitude towards certain types of craftsmanship and trade professions which, however, risk dying out.” commented the minister immediately after the meeting with the Cremonese representatives of the main economic categories.
On Portesani: “I believe that here is a candidate not only of exceptional value but also of nature and character, who deserves to be helped. It is necessary to focus on access to credit. These cities must find life above all in their historic centres. If there are no commercial activities, like a vicious circle, youth immigration increases, also impoverishing cities like Cremona. We have to let Cremona win.”
A look also at the CDP. “The nomination game was already open, we will calmly go about renewing the positions by choosing the people who can guarantee the projects we have in mind, also on CDP, where I don’t think there will be any major upheavals”
Finally on the ITA-Lufthansa “marriage”: “We invited the spouses and witnesses. If all goes well, we’ll get married”
