On precise directives from the Ragusa Police Commissioner, Dr. Vincenzo Trombadore the Anti-Crime Police Division has examined a series of delinquent episodes which occurred last month in the territories of the municipalities of Modica and Pozzallo for the purposes of applying personal prevention measures to the perpetrators.
The prerogative attributed by the law to the Provincial Public Safety Authority to adopt “Warnings” and “Prohibitions” and other limitations on personal freedoms towards people dangerous to public safety has thus led to the imposition of:
- four Oral Notices;
- two bans on access to places where sporting events take place (DASpo.);
- a warning.
The recipients of the oral warnings were a mother and two children from Pozzallo; the woman stole a debit card from an elderly disabled person hospitalized in a nursing home, she gave it to her children who over the course of three days purchased designer clothes and electronic material for a total value of around 7000 euros .
The goods purchased illicitly were found at their home.
The investigations were conducted by the Carabinieri who reported those responsible to the Judicial Authority.
Another oral warning was given to a 24-year-old man from Modica reported by the Agents of the Modica Police Station for attempted extortion and related personal injury.
He had attacked a young Albanian until he lost consciousness in order to obtain a sum of money as the price for a supply of drugs purchased on credit.
The DASp. (bans on access to places where sporting events take place) were decreed by the Police Commissioner against two fans from Modica aged 24 and 22, identified as perpetrators of conduct prejudicial to public order and safety on the occasion of the football match Modica – Gela.
The two young people, already subjected to another DAspo measure. they were identified near the municipal stadium – an area prohibited to them by virtue of the provision – and a pyrotechnic device, two sticks, one made of hard plastic, the other wooden and a switchblade and a switchblade were found on board their car and they were immediately arrested by the agents of the Modica police station.
Regarding gender violence, the Police Commissioner warned a 79-year-old from Pozzallo responsible for persecutory acts (stalking) against a 63 year old woman.
The Police Headquarters will continue to adopt all the tools that give it competence in the direct adoption or power of proposal of the Legal Institutes provided for by preventive law, with the primary aim of ensuring public safety and tranquility.
